Generally, jaw crusher consists of seven structures which are transmission, rack, jaw plate and side guard board, flywheel, lubrication device, adjusting device and reset spring. These structures of jaw crusher work together to make the machine run properly.
The eccentric shaft is made of high-carbon steel, and a pulley is installed at one side of it. The pulley is used as a transmission to connect the shaft with the flywheel. The frame of the crusher needs to be strong enough to bear vibration of the machine and the weight of the eccentric shaft. Generally in order to insure the security, the frame is made of cast steel while some homemade crusher is welded by thick plate.
Jaw plate is installed on the jaw bed and the side guard board is directly used to press the materials, so the jaw board must be stable and strong. The flywheel is used to save the energy of dynamic jaw to make the machine work uniformly. And what should be care of is the balance of the flywheel. We must keep its balance when we install it.
In order to reduce the abrasion, we need to feed the machine oil regularly. The adjusting device consists of three types and among them, the wedge type which can be moved up and down to adjust the opening size is the general choose. The spring plays an important role in moving the dynamic jaw and the jaw crusher won't work without the help of the spring.
