Tips for Jaw Crusher Operator

Before we want to operate a jaw crusher, we’d better know something about its operating principle. Jaw crusher machine uses motor as its power. Through the motor’s wheels, the eccentric shaft is driven by the triangle belt and slot wheel to make the movable jaw plate move by a regulated track. Therefore, the materials in the crushing cavity composed of fixed jaw plate, movable jaw plate and side-lee board can be crushed and discharged through the discharging opening. Jaw crusher are equipped with one fixed and one movable crushing jaw (moving jaw),both of which support crushing plates support crushing plates (wearing parts) in several versions. They form a wedge-shaped crushing zone. The walls of the crushing zone are made of replace-able wearing sheets. Crushing is done between the two crushing jaws. The moving jaw of the single toggle jaw crusher moves elliptically. A pendulum motion is being carried out by the double toggle jaw crusher. The crushing force is produced by an eccentric shaft. Then it is transferred to the crushing zone via a toggle plate system and supported by the back wall of the housing of the machine. Spring pulling rods keep the whole system in a condition of non- positive connection. Centrifugal masses on the eccentric shaft serve as compensation for heavy loads. A flywheel is provided in the form of a pul-l e y. . Due to the favorable angle of dip between the crushing jaws, the feeding material can be reduced directly after entering the machine. The final grain size distribution is influenced by both, the adjustable crusher setting and the suitability of the tooth form selected for the crushing plate.

Before you operate the jaw crusher, you should make some preparation jobs.(1)Examine carefully whether lubrication condition of the bearings is good or not, whether there are enough grease in the joint of the thrust plate or not . (2)Examine whether all the fasteners are fastened or not, whether protective device is good or not. (3)Examine carefully if there are some minerals or sundries in the crushing cavity or not, you must ensure the jaw crusher machine starts with nothing in the crushing cavity.

After the machine starting, you have two ways to operate it.
1.Idling test drive. Here are five tips:(1)After it work for more than two hours, you should ensure temperature of the bearing is not more than 30 degree.(2)All the fasteners are fastened.(3)Flywheel and scored pulley works steady.(4)All the friction assembly unit are not bruised, crumps-dropped, grinded, and without abnormal noise.(5)The adjustment device of the discharge gate can adjust its range.

2.On-load test drive. (1)Ensure the jaw crusher have no regular or obvious strike, clash noise.(2)The largest feeding granularity should according to the rules.(3)If the machine works 8 hours continuously, its bearing temperature should not more than 30 degrees.
